Acceptance of the terms

By creating a ChauffeurClair.ca account, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms of use and our privacy policy. If you do not accept these rules, you must not create or use an account.

Use of the service

You must provide accurate information, protect access to your account, and use the platform only for lawful purposes. Any attempt to compromise the security or operation of the service is prohibited.

Accuracy and professional advice

You remain responsible for reviewing imported data, categories, and generated results. ChauffeurClair.ca is an organizational tool and does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice.

Your documents

You remain responsible for retaining originals and backup copies of documents required for your obligations. Do not treat the platform as your only archive.

Account and availability

You can delete your account from your profile. The service may evolve and may experience interruptions for maintenance, security, or circumstances beyond our control.

Free plan and subscription

Every feature is available on the free plan. It includes 2 monthly tax report imports and 2 weekly statement imports for the lifetime of the account. Deleting a document does not restore this allowance. Receipts, photos, ZIP files, manual entries, reports, and exports have no separate paid feature restriction.

A monthly or annual subscription removes these document import allowances and renews automatically until cancelled. The price, frequency, and applicable taxes are shown before payment. Cancellation is completed through the billing portal and normally takes effect at the end of the already-paid period.

Limitation of liability

ChauffeurClair.ca provides tools to help you organize your documents and prepare summaries. We do not guarantee that imported data, calculations, categories, or reports are error-free or satisfy all your tax or accounting obligations. You must review results before using or transmitting them and consult a qualified person when your situation requires it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChauffeurClair.ca is not liable for losses resulting from use of or inability to use the service, including a decision based on an unverified result, an interruption, an incompatibility, or the loss of a document for which you did not retain a copy. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited, including intentional or gross fault and certain bodily or moral injuries.
